Pre-processing Report Methodology:
Because of it's unique processing approach, the Reporter has the ability to handle substantial amounts of Internet traffic on the network, processing up to 60 million requests per/day (2.5 million hits per/hour).
Pre-processing allows the Reporter to store data in a format that facilitates high-speed data retrieval. As part of the pre-processing procedure, Indexing conserves storage space by capturing only unique data elements. The end result is a wide date scope of indexed and summarized data offering limitless view potential and drill-downs, making report generation and presentation obtainable in minutes or even seconds. This is in sharp contrast to competitive products which can take hours, days or even weeks to generate a single report because of their real-time/on-the-fly processing and shared function environments.
Stand-alone Dedicated Reporting Appliance Designed to do one function and do it well - reporting. The Reporter scalability is unmatched with a generous amount of internal storage, as well as external NAS (Network Attached Storage) options.
Powerful Cross-referenced and Customized Reporting Data output can be made to conform to a time frame, including daily, weekly, monthly, yearly. Data can then be mined in a variety of ways by simply drilling down from top-level choices of:
- User(s)
- Category (groups of restricted URL and IP addresses)
- Site (a specific URL or IP address)
The “drill down” capability of the allows administrators to analyze data sets in ways that truly facilitate accurate and effective interpretation. This is in contrast to providing a limited number of “canned” reports, which hamper creativity or force the development of custom SQL queries to obtain the desired results. Not unlike spreadsheet software, the reporter is a powerful analytical tool, that is both flexible and comprehensive.
Intuitive Graphical User Interface:
The user interface has been designed to make administration and report generation as simple and efficient as possible. Administrators can point and click through the screens and quickly set up the desired monitoring environment.
Reports by User Name or IP Address:
Configures IP addresses with actual user names for the most effective and accurate reports available. Reports by user list activity on all web sites for that user name and site-specific reports list access attempts and activity by user name.
Multiple Output Options:
Reports can be formatted for on-screen viewing or printing. When viewed onscreen, reports offer the flexibility of custom sorting, initiated by simply clicking on a column header. Both pie and bar chart options are available to provide
info graphic results. In addition, reported site URLs are “clickable” for instant viewing.
Report Memorization:
If a particular view/report of data is preferred, it can be “memorized” or placed in a user defined report menu for future and continual access.
Report Scheduling and Distribution:
Option to point to "memorized" reports and define frequency (i.e. daily, weekly, monthly, etc.), distribution (i.e. automated e-mail) and output format (HTML, printout) of reports.
3rd Party Limited Integration:
